We accept referrals from professionals and directly from carers themselves.

Sessions are available nationwide online.

Carer Counselling Session  (50 minutes)   £60

These are our standard sessions, suitable for all individuals with a caring role. 

Family-Focused Carer Therapy Session  (60 minutes)   £90

These sessions are particularly for those looking after children with special educational needs, challenging behaviour or attachment problems, as well as for foster carers and special guardians. They can help carers to understand their child's behaviour and reduce behaviours of distress, and are informed by Therapeutic Parenting and either Child/Educational Psychology or Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (depending on the therapist).  They can be conducted with a sole parent/guardian, a couple, or a family. 

We understand that financial pressure is very real for many unpaid carers and we are able to offer a number of subsidised pay-what-you-can-afford sessions to those who would otherwise not be able to access counselling. Unfortunately there is normally a wait for these sessions, but if you would like to go on the waiting list please indicate this on the referral form.

 Counselling Carers is a social enterprise working to improve the lives of the most vulnerable by caring for their carers. We provide high quality counselling and psychotherapy to anybody who has a caring role.  All our therapists specialise in working with carers, and also have lived-experience of caring.

As a social enterprise, Counselling Carers does not aim to make a profit from our work. Instead, we try to keep our counselling sessions as affordable as possible, whilst paying our staff a fair wage and covering our other costs. Any profit we make goes straight back into funding reduced-fee sessions.
